Introduction to Shipping Processes

In this section of the User Manual we will follow the normal sequence of stages for shipping an order, discussing how each stage is implemented using the opentaps processing screens. The work flow proceeds as follows:

• Begin processing with the orders that are ready to ship, referring to the Ready To Ship Screen.
• Using the Pick List to collect items for shipments from the warehouse and prepare for packing, referring to the Picklists and Open Picklists Screen pages.
• Packing the orders.
• Scheduling and Shipping the orders.
• Using the automated shipment scheduler, referring to Schedule a Shipment Screen.
