Using Bookmarks and Uploaded Files

Using Bookmarks

When there are Web Sites (URL's) available providing resources relevant to business processes or Customer support, such Web Sites can be bookmarked for future Team reference.

Bookmarks are available for the CRM Tab sections, usually located toward the bottom of the main Tab section screen. The Bookmarks are used as follows:

Open the Bookmarks screen,

* Click: [Bookmark URL] in the Bookmarks and Files box
The "Bookmark URL" screen opens.
* In the "Classification" drop down box, select one of the labels:
  ** Schematics
  ** Artwork
  ** Contracts
  ** Other
* Enter the "URL Address" of the Web Site being bookmarked.
* Enter a "Description" 
* When finished, Click: [Bookmark URL].

The URL is presented in the Bookmarks and Files box, with a live URL link, the information entered above, and the date that the Bookmark was created. Each line is provided with an [Edit] and a [Remove] button.

Click the live URL link to open the Web Site.


Using File Uploads to the opentaps System

When there are data Files available providing resources relevant to business processes or Customer support, such Files can be uploaded to the opentaps system for future Team reference.

The Upload Files function is available for the CRM Tab sections, usually located toward the bottom of the main Tab section screen. The Upload Files function is used as follows:

Open the Upload Files screen,

* Click: [Upload File] in the Bookmarks and Files box
The "Upload File" screen opens.
* In the "Classification" drop down box, select one of the labels:
  ** Schematics
  ** Artwork
  ** Contracts
  ** Other
* Enter or Browse for the file_name of the "Upload File" to upload.
* Enter a "Description" of the file and it's relevant contents
* When finished, Click: [Upload].

The Uploaded File name is presented in the Bookmarks and Files box, with a live link to the file, the information entered above, and the date that the Upload was created. Each line is provided with an [Edit] and a [Remove] button.

Click the live file link to open the uploaded file with the default application software for the file type, which must be available on your local work station computer.
