Add or Delete People with Key Store Role(s)

The [Catalog} > [Stores] > [Roles] Tab is used to enable the specified Party to assume or execute a Role in the Store. The most commonly used example of this is the Role of "Sales Representative" in the Store.

NOTE: In order for an assigned person to take Sales Orders in the Store, they must have the Role
"Sales Representative" specified in the [Store] > [Roles] Tab.
  • The list of existing Roles assigned to Parties in the Store is presented in the Edit Product Store Roles box at the top of the screen. A [Delete] button is provided on each line.
  • To add a Role for a Party in the Store proceed as follows:
* In the "Create ProductStoreRole" box, 
* Select: A Role from the "Role Type" drop down box.
* Specify or Use the Search Widget to find: The Party_ID of Party, 
* Enter: in the "Party" box.
* Specify the effective date of the Role: in the "From Date" box, or
     Leave the box empty if the effective date/time is immediate.
* Click: [Add], the Party Role is added.

Notice that the Role assignments do not expire, but they can be removed by using the [Delete] button for the line item in the "Edit Product Store Roles" box.
