This screen is used to write outgoing emails. It works like a web-based email client with a few twists:

  • From: Select from one of the email addresses of the current logged-in user, configured in the User Profiles Screen.
  • To, CC, BCC: Fill in the email addresses to send to. The system will automatically match those email addresses to accounts, leads, and contacts in the system for you.
  • Opportunity, Case, Order: Fill in the opportunity, case, or order to associate the email with.
  • Subject and Message: Enter the subject and message of your email.
  • Attachments: You can use the [Browse] button to browse for an attachment for your email, [Add Attachments] to add more attachments, or [Remove Attachment] to remove an attachment already added to the email.

[Send] will cause the email to be sent, and it will then show up in the "Completed Activities" section of your account/contact/lead. [Save for Later] will cause it to be saved as a "Pending Activity," and you can come back to the email later and finish it.
